Tim’s Old School – (1987) The Untouchables directed by Brian de Palma filmed in Chicago.

A movie that brings together an incredible cast playing both the good guys and the bad guys. The beat cop and mentor Malone (Sean Connery), determined young idealistic leader Ness (Kevin Kostner), the young hot headed rookie Stone (Andy Garcia) and off course the ultimate bad guy Capone (Robert de Niro) who really looks like the real life Capone. The truth is that you will see all these actors delivering better performances in other movie roles but still together in this movie they are unforgettable. A memorable scene has to be the baby pram going down the stairs in the train station shootout and the best sound are the Tommy gun’s when they are fired. Standout line is in the begining when Capone says “like a lot of things in life we laugh because it’s funny and we laugh because it’s true”. I feel like in this line he could be referring to our current world of politics…… Interesting fact is that wardrobe is compiled by Giorgio Armani. A true old school movie classic which you can watch over again and again. Now all that’s left is to have a drink as thankfully Prohibition is no longer around or I would be locked up !!!
